Water Conditions
The waters at Playa Juventud are very calm, ideal for swimming with small children and for those who prefer still waters. The waves are practically nonexistent, much gentler than the Hotel Zone beaches.
How to Get to Playa Juventud
Unlike the beaches along the Hotel Zone, there's no kilometer marker to look for here: Playa Juventud sits right within downtown Cancun itself. A taxi from anywhere downtown runs $30-50 MXN, Uber/DiDi is about $25-40 MXN, and local buses pass by too. Coming from the Hotel Zone, it's the reverse trip - hop on the R1 or R2 heading toward downtown.
